Cranston Community

Transit to and from the Cranston community is facilitated by multiple major road arteries. To the north, there’s the Marquis of Lorne Trail, which is also known as Highway 2XX. Deerfoot Trail, another strategic road corridor, runs on the eastern boundary of the neighborhood.

The Cranston neighbourhood has become popular for many families to settle in, as evidenced by a 2009 census that showed the community’s population was at 9,645, up 28 percent from 2007. Single-family and multifamily residences constitute the 1,965 total dwellings in Cranston.Single detached homes dominate the residential types with 95.2 percent of the total housing, of which only 2.3 percent are for rent.

The quoted prices of Cranston homes for sale vary widely. At the low end are apartments and townhouses which can be on the market with starting prices in the $200s. The $1-million-plus level is the price domain for the more sophisticated choices in single-family homes, like custom bungalows and executive-type residences.
