Killarney/Glengarry Community

The Killarney/Glengarry community has a long history. Urbanization prior to World War II took place at a rather slow pace, wherein the majority of houses built were basic clapboard structures. But by the end of the war, developers began building more clapboard bungalows and small stuccos -- numbering by the hundreds -- in lots spanning 25 and 50-feet wide. By 2002, urban development in the neighbourhood saw the replacement of many outdated and damaged homes with spacious ranchers, modernized executive properties, high-rise residential buildings, and condominiums.

With more than 3,200 dwellings standing within the neighbourhood today, Killarney/Glengarry features a mixture of different housing types, wherein nearly half of the total is comprised of apartments.
