Martindale Community

Situated in the northeast zone of the city, the Martindale community is just east of the Calgary International Airport and two industrial parks, Saddle Ridge and Westwinds. Martindale real estate is flanked by three other fine communities: Castleridge to the south, Saddleridge to the north, and Taradale to the east. The locality of Martindale was developed in 1983 from a plot of land that the city of Calgary annexed in 1961.

The homes in this neighborhood are comprised mainly of single-family starter residences and move-up homes. Condominiums and apartments constitute only 3 percent of the residential buildings in this community, and 12.6 percent of the total housing is for renting.
